Mesoscopic Kondo Effect and Renormalization Group

In this pedagogical talk, I will introduce the mesoscopic Kondo effect, i.e., the electronic transport through a stronly correlated region with local magnetic moments in nanoscale systems. I will first review briefly the phenomenology of the Kondo effect, and then several key concepts to understand the underlying physics in the spirit of the renormalization group.
